Earlier today Apple has released the first beta of iOS 12.1.2 to developers for testing, The build number is 16D5024a.
No new features are listed yet for the beta; however, it likely contains bug fixes and improvements to iOS 12.1.1 which brought eSIM support for additional carriers, notification previews using haptic touch on the iPhone XR, Live Photo capture during FaceTime calls, and more.
While it’s likely that these new betas will be minor in scale, it’s also not impossible that Apple slips in a new feature as well. For instance, watchOS 5.1.2 welcomed the arrival of the highly anticipated ECG app for the Apple Watch Series 4 (which already may have saved a life). And iOS 12.1? That brought with it Group FaceTime after a lengthy wait for that particular feature.
