How to jailbreak iOS 12 - 12.1.2 using Chimera Jailbreak

Yesterday we reported to you that Electra team has released a new tool called Chimera that jailbreaks iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2 and most importantly it supports all the new iOS devices like iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max. Chimera has been coded from the scratch and it comes with Sileo as its default package manager.

Unlike UnC0ver, Chimera is more stable and less buggy experience. The app itself also has a more modern UI, unlike Unc0ver which feels rough and raw. The biggest highlight of Chimera is that it features CoreTrust bypass and that it is compatible with A12-A12X Bionic devices like the iPhone XS and iPhone XR.

Before proceeding to this guide, make sure that you make a copy of your iPhone via iTunes so that if anything gone wrong, you be in the safe side.

How to jailbreak iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2 Using Cydia Impactor

STEP 1: Download Cydia Impactor on your computer.

STEP 2: Download Chimera latest versions from their website.

STEP 3: Connect your iPhone to the computer via USB cable.

STEP 4: Open Cydia Impactor and the program will detect your connected iPhone. 

STEP 5: Drag and drop Chimera IPA file to the Cydia Impactor window and you will be asked to put an Apple ID and password so that the jailbreak process continue. 

STEP 6: Cydia Impactor will now load Chimera IPA file, it may take awhile until you see Chimera app on your iPhone homescreen.

STEP 7: Once installed you will have to trust the developer app, go to Settings ---> General ---> Device & Management and tap your Apple ID until you see Chimera app. Click on it and tap on "Trust". 

STEP 8: After trusting the app you will find Chimera app icon on your iPhone homescreen.

STEP 9: Tap on it and then tap on "Jailbreak" button.

STEP 10: The jailbreaking process will start immediately and it may take some time, so be patient. 

STEP 11: Your iPhone may respring many times until the jailbreak is finished. Congratulations you will find Sileo app beside Chimera and that's it you are done.

How to jailbreak iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2 From iPhone [No Computer required] 

If you are finding Cydia impactor method is kind hard and looking for an easy way to jailbreak your device, then you can do it via your iPhone using ignition website. Here's how:

STEP 1: From your mobile browser, hit this link: ignition.fun.

STEP 2: Now tap on the search bar and search for "Chimera".

STEP 3: Once you find it, tap on "GET" so the app starts to download and install on your iPhone. It may take some time. 

Follow the same steps we said above from trusting the developer's app and click on Chimera app and then start the jailbreak.
